OUR MANIFESTO
Our Vision Unfolds
Back in 2015, as we launched ecokit, the industry was buzzing with innovation. Startups targeting construction were emerging, hinting at a revolution. Despite their struggles, companies like Katerra and WeWork highlighted the need for a tech-driven approach.
Today, we face a trifecta of challenges: advancing technology, climate change, and a growing population. This demands innovation. The last decade has seen significant advancements, but to truly revolutionize construction, we must embrace technology.
01
Addressing Local Challenges
Construction’s hyperlocal nature presents unique challenges. Weather, codes, materials, and labor vary even within short distances, making scaling difficult. But with strategic use of technology, we can manage these variables better.
Labor shortages remain a major hurdle. In 2024, the US only needs to attract over 500,000 new workers. The ecokit® system minimizes the need for skilled labor, lowering overheads but not the quality.
02
Balancing Local Focus with Innovation
We’re at a tipping point, with technology like cloud computing, AI, and robotics promising a more reliable construction process. This mix of innovation can bend the curve on cost, collaboration, sustainability, and safety, making on-time, on-budget projects the standard.
To achieve this, we need to fuel the next wave of construction innovation. Beyond capital, we need dedicated teams serving a demanding industry. Large general contractors are forming innovation teams, and we collaborate with them to drive change.
03
Building homes that inspire people
Architects, builders and developers now have the opportunity to take on more responsibility and risk, leveraging technology to transform construction.
It’s up to all of us to embrace these tools and redefine how we build for the better.
